DCTS preference checker
Country eligibility alone never proves that a shipment qualifies. This checker combines the current country tier with the live commodity measure and leaves rules-of-origin evidence as an explicit condition.
How to read the result
Comprehensive, Enhanced or Standard describes the country's current DCTS preference tier. The actual customs-duty outcome still depends on the commodity, goods graduation, product-specific rules of origin and the evidence needed to support the claim.
A live preferential percentage is therefore shown as “Preference may apply”, not “you qualify”. If the tariff exposes multiple, conditional, quota, weight-based or additional-duty measures, BorderMath sends you to the official record instead of choosing one silently.
Current scheme changes worth checking
- Improved DCTS rules of origin took effect from 1 January 2026.
- Vanuatu moved from Comprehensive to Enhanced Preferences on 1 January 2026.
- India remains in a transition period after the UK-India trade agreement and is currently scheduled to leave DCTS on 15 July 2028.
- Bhutan is scheduled to move from Comprehensive to Enhanced Preferences on 14 December 2026.
- Goods graduation can suspend preference for specified product chapters, including certain goods from India and Indonesia during 2026–2028.
